Tips for pics: Angle

Merry Christmas! As you can probably tell from my photo shoots, I love playing around with the angle of my pictures. Different angles and positions can really make your picture unique and add interest to your picture. For example, here are two pictures in the exact same positions, but taken at different angles: So when taking pictures, always remember to try different angles. You never really see a lot of doll pictures taken from behind the doll. One of my favorite angles is to place the camera next to her feet, then tilt the camera up towards her face. Or taking pictures from the side So next time you take pictures, remember to play around with the angle of your pictures. Everyone has their own style, so find yours and develop and improve it. :-) Merry Christmas! Tomorrow's theme: Editing ~AGDPS

Tips for pics: Lighting

12 Days of Christmas, Day 3  Merry Christmas! For the next few days, I am going to be giving tips for taking pictures of your doll!  Today we are going to talk about lighting. 1. Never shoot in full sun So what this means is you never want to take a picture with the sun directly shinning on your doll's face. Here is what a picture in full sun looks like: As you can see, the light in the picture doesn't look quite right. Always shoot with the sun shinning behind your doll, and make sure you have enough shade and that the lighting is right. 2. The right time of day So we see that lighting plays a key factor in your picture. I find that the best time to take pictures is mid-morning, and golden hour. Sometimes other parts of the day can work as well. For example, you could shoot around noon, but you will probably need some shade for your doll to stand in. Another thing is even if you are not shooting into the sun, your photo can still be too ...

Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope you have a wonderful holiday and a happy New Year! 🎄 I took these pictures on a phone earlier this month, but never got around to editing them until yesterday. My family recently got Photoshop, and I had a lot of fun playing around with the editing with these pictures. Have a very Merry Christmas! I will put the rest of the pictures below. ~AGDPS

Update

Hi! I broke my camera (again. It was my own fault this time) and am researching different cameras to get, so I haven't gotten a new one yet. As soon as I get a new one, I will definately do a photoshoot. Edit:I have tried taking pictures with a phone-the quality is not that great, so I am editing them and seeing if they are good enough to post. Thanks! ~AGDPS

November 16th & 17th

11/16/2018, 11/17/2018 It has been so cloudy this past week, I wasn't planning on doing a photo shoot soon. But when I woke up on Friday morning, it was a completely blue sky! So I rushed out at 11:30 a.m. to do a photo shoot. I was only able to take four pictures then before my camera battery died, so I went back the next day, which still had a blue sky, and took more pictures. I was playing around with the locations and angles and I was finally ready to go. I was walking to my bike (this location was not in my yard) when I passed the location of the picture above. I am so glad I took pictures there because that was the only location that turned out with good pictures! :-) Also, this is a new outfit my sister bought a few days ago from Our Generation. Here are the pictures from Friday morning. \ And here are the pictures from Saturday evening. Happy Thanksgiving! ~AG...

Fall Leaves

Photo Shoot: November 14, 2018 Hello! I did another photo shoot this morning! I did one yesterday, but it was really cloudy. The pictures didn't turn out very good, and they were dark and grainy. So, this morning I was in my room and I realized the sun was out! I took full advantage of the situation and re-did the photo shoot that failed.  I think it turned out pretty good! So I wanted to capture the Fall leaves before they fell off of the trees completely. I missed their peak because it was rainy and I was sick, but I still think they looks pretty good now. I took the pictures in four different locations. I only got one good picture at the first location. It is not my favorite, but I still think it looks okay. It was on a steeper hill, so it was hard to take pictures there. For the next pictures, I actually sat Rachel up on a tree branch and took pictures of her there. I am really happy with how these pictures turned out. I took the next couple of pictures on top of th...

Pumpkins!

Photo shoot: October 22. 2018 Sorry for not posting in a while. I took these pictures mid-October, but as usual didn't make a post until now. I took pictures for my next photo shoot today and will have them posted soon. I took all of the pictures today on my front porch. We had bought our pumpkins and planted the mums and pansies about a week or two before the pictures were taken. Ever since we set them up, I was thinking, "This will make a great photo shoot.....". Anyway, I did one. Here are the pictures I took: I am really happy with how the pictures turned out! My favorite picture is probably the last one. I don't know why I like it so much, especially since Rachel's face isn't in it. My favorite one with Rachel's face however is the first one. It is amazing how different everything changes between October and November (you will definitely see it in my next post) Happy Fall! AGDPS
