Happy New Year, and Blaire Wilson!

Happy New Year!! I can't believe 2019 is here already!


So the girl of the year for 2019 is Blaire Wilson!

 She is so pretty!  I was really hoping for a red haired GOTY, and I am so excited we have one!

I also really like her story, with her farm and her chicken. If you are wondering what the breed is, it is a white silkie chicken.

Here are her accessories, which are usually priced around $24-$30. I saw somewhere that they were $30, but I am obviously hoping they are the former choice.

I think her tote bag is so cute, and I really like the phone and the flowers.


Here is my favorite Blaire outfit. I believe it is called "Blaire's Gardening Outfit", which I am guessing is priced at $32.

This outfit is so cute! Let's just say this is my lucky year, because I was hoping for a red-haired doll like I said before, and I was also hoping that AG would make a overalls outfit!

Here are her pajamas:

I think these are cute as well. I really like the pom poms on her slippers! The AG pajamas are usually priced at $24, so that is my guess.

So I got my first AG doll over this past summer, so she has the new quality (eyes and body cloth). I never really understood why people were upset with it because I couldn't really see the difference.

If you look at Blaire in the overalls outfit, and then look at her in the pajama outfit, you can really see a big difference with her eyes. My guess is that American Girl will be switching back to the old quality sometime this year. If I do get another doll, I will probably wait until after summer.

(I can't tell if the first picture of Blaire has the old or new quality, because it looks in between. What do you think?)


Anyway, back to the outfits.

The next outfit we are looking at is her bridesmaid dress.

I think this dress is really pretty! I like all of the detail on the dress, with the pink flowers all on it. I am personally not a huge fan of the high-low style of dresses (if you are there is nothing wrong with that!), but I still think it will look really cute on any doll.

Here is her floral flair outfit:

I think this is a cute outfit as well. I like the sandals, the shoes, and the bows on the tunic. This looks like a casual outfit you would wear around the house. I haven't read her books yet, but I do think they looks interesting so I might get them.

So those are all of her outfits. Overall, I would rate them a 7/10.

Here are the rest of her accessories.

I really like this accessory set! I love the hat, and it could go with so many outfits. I also like the frills on the straps of the apron, and the color scheme in general. This will probably be an accessory set I would get, if I get one at all.

This set looks so cool! I really like the watering can, shovel, flowers, the silkie, just everything about it. I am really liking Blaire's color scheme so far!


Time to move on to the two big items!

Okay, this set looks so neat! Since I also bake and decorate cakes, I love all of the little details on the cake! If you want, I could probably recreate this cake in real life, or at least the design. Let me know if you want me to try! I also like the little plates that say "Love" and the hydrangeas.

Here is the biggest item!

This is so neat! It looks like a little kitchen/restaurant that Blaire cooks in! I really like the green benches, and all of the detail American Girl put into it. My guess is that this is going to have a pretty hefty price tag, maybe somewhere around $350-$400. I definitely won't be getting it, but it looks so cool!


I really like all of Blaire's accessories! Altogether, I would rate them a 7/10 as well.

Here are Blaire's two pets, a pig and a lamb.

I think they are both pretty cute, especially the lamb. In general though, I am not a huge fan of doll pets because they are the same size as a stuffed animal, except you are paying over $20 for it. I mean, if you like them there is nothing wrong with that, but I probably will not be buying them.

Overall I am so happy with Blaire Wilson and her collection! At the time I am typing this, she will be on the website in 41 minutes. Time to keep waiting.
